Guru Yamuna Srinidhi

Yamuna Srinidhi, the director of Nrityasiri center for performing arts is a well-known dancer,
choreographer and teacher of Bharatanatyam. She has had 18 years of training
in various styles of Bharatanatyam and Oddissi under the expert guidance of great components of Indian dance
like Padmabhushana Smt. Venkata Lakshmamma, Karnataka Kala Tilaka Muralidhar Rao and Nandini Eshwar.
She holds a Masters degree in dance and was conferred the title of “Natya Kovide” by the Prime Minister of India.
Yamuna is dedicated to preserving & promoting fine arts among the Indo-American community and has contributed to creating
an international awareness of Bharatanatyam.Yamuna has organized & performed in many charity & fund raising events.
She is currently a resident of Sugarland, Texas.

Mrs. Neela Chakravarthy
|
Neela Chakravarthy, a resident of Houston for the past 16 years belongs to a family of musicians.
Backed by the unwavering encouragement of her parents, she went on to learn music from many accomplished teachers from the age of 12.
She has developed her own artistic style in rendering compositions with due emphasis on classical depth, clarity and devotion. She
has released a CD “Hari Narayana”, which is a compilation of Shri Purandara Dasa Krithis. She has received several awards and
has performed in Udaya TV’s prestigious “Bhakti Sangeetha” program. She has provided vocal support at several
arangetrams. Neela had her full length Carnatic classical concert two years ago in memory of her father late
Dr. N. S. Iyengar. She works as an Electrical Engineer at Lockheed Martin |
Mridanga
Mr. Mayavaram Siva
|
Mayavaram Siva, a disciple of Padmabhushana Shri K.Sivaraman has been learning mridanga since 1995.
He has accompanied many renowned singers and performed in prestigious sabhaas like the Music Academy
and Mylapore Fine Arts. He is a recipient of the top ten young performers awarded by VDS Arts academy
in the year 2006. Currently, he is pursuing his master's degree in environmental engineering at the
University of Houston.

Violin
Mrs. Deepa Ramachandran
|
Deepa Ramachandran had her initial violin training in western classical music. She began learning Carnatic violin
from Sri S.N. Narasimhan of San Jose, California. She is currently the
disciple of Mullaivasal Sri G. Chandramouli. Deepa has performed on various occasions in US and in India,
playing both accompaniment and violin duet concerts with her sister. Deepa is a resident of Houston, Texas
and is a PhD student at Rice University.

Flute
Mr. Karthik Subramanyan
|
Karthik Subramanyan had his tutelage under Dr. N. Ramani from the age of 11 and later under Tiruvarur Swaminathan.
He has performed in various Sabhas notably the Mylapore Fine Arts and Sastri Hall, Chennai.
He has also given various solo concerts in Chicago, St. Louis and played in numerous arangetrams. He works as a
chemical engineer at General Electric, Houston, Texas.
